This is the perfect place to begin exploring who you are, what motivates you, how you best love to interact with the world, and how all of that drives your creative expression. This is a chance to dip your toes into your soul's creativity and a chance to explore and to wonder, to search and to play. The activities here invite you to be curious, to start reflecting on who you are and to find out what moves you in life. It's a chance to get to know yourself better. This experience is one part self-awareness, one part self-discovery, and one part soul reveal. It’s a sacred journey of purpose, guiding you on your very own personal, creative, and spiritual path. It’s a chance to come home to you.
This online self-paced course is the place to dip your toes into your very own creative expression. It’s a taste of learning about what creativity is, why it’s important, and how to get started.
There are so many ways to express your creativity. You don’t have to be an artist! But you can if you want to be! Whether it’s through painting, writing, dancing, baking, singing, or creating content for the interwebs, you already have within you a singular voice that so wants to come out and play. All it takes is a little nudge and encouragement, and some hands-on activities that will have you discovering that voice in no time.

Seven activities with explanations and steps for each one clearly outlined

A simple and short list of materials needed (you probably have everything already!)

Written descriptions and a video to explain what you’ll be doing and why
After you complete an activity you’ll have the chance to get reflective about what you’re doing and what you’re learning about yourself.
At the end of it all you’ll be creating a soul map to use as your own personal guide for keeping you on track as you move forward on your creative journey.
How it Works
After purchasing the course, you’ll receive an email inviting you to get started.
You’ll create an account, or sign in to my website, log in, and you’ll be on your way!
Once logged in all the activities and content, the videos and some downloadable materials, will be there waiting for you.
You can binge through it in a weekend, or spread it out over two weeks, or take a month, or even a year. It’s completely up to you.
All of the course content is yours to keep and return to again and again.
Supplies and Materials Needed
You will of course need a computer/laptop/tablet/smart phone and access to the internet, but after that, it’s super simple:

Notebook or journal or blank paper ~ whichever you prefer

Pen or pencil for writing

Some colorful markers ~ or you can use crayons, oil pastels, colored pencils, anything colorful that brings you joy

A printer ~ but don’t worry if you don’t have one, there’s a work around for that!

FAQ’s
Do I need previous art experience to take this course?
Not at all! Zero. Whether it’s your first time, it’s been a long time, or you’re currently dabbling but could use some encouragement, this course is for anyone that’s ready to get creative.
What technology do I need?

A computer (or laptop, tablet, smart phone) with connection to the internet, a high-speed connection will be ideal for the videos so there will be less lag time.

An email account to register.

A printer to print out a few pdf’s that are included. But if you don’t have a printer, there’s a work around for that!
How much time do I need to take this course?
This is a self-paced course. You can take as long as you need depending on the demands of your life. Once you register you set the pace for when you access each step in the course. You can binge it all in a weekend or spread it out over a year. The course has no timeline or deadlines.
Will I need a lot of expensive materials and supplies?
You will not!
You need just the basics to get started: blank paper/a notebook or journal, pen or pencil, colored pencils, crayons, or markers are fun, but not necessary.
Is there a group classroom to meet others taking this course or to share our experiences?
No, there is no online space for this self-paced course, this is one you’ll do on your own, but you can always reach out to Indi for support!
Who’s Indi?
That’s me! I’m an artist, a dreamer, and a risk taker. I’ve been making art for over 25 years. I’ve also been a teacher, a trainer, and a presenter of so many different subjects over the span of my adult life: this includes English as a Second Language, Belly Dance, Resilience and Trauma in the workplace, Art Journaling, Intuitive Art, Tarot, Astrology and more. Whew!
I make art and offer workshops, classes, courses, and retreats that encourage artistic expression, connection, and ways to explore a more sacred way of living. I’m inspired by the creativity that I believe we all have within us. I believe in dreaming into reality and taking actionable steps toward a more creative, artistic, connected, just, and peaceful world. I envision a life where each and every one of us may find our unique creative expression and be able to thrive.
Through art my intuition guides me to explore and discover fun ways of playing with paint and found objects. I work with acrylic paints on canvas and also create assembled art pieces, often from old books destined for the landfill, giving them new life as works of art. I love bold and vibrant colors and paint both abstracts and figurative abstracts. Layer upon layer of paint make up my canvases, and whimsical found objects guide the themes of my assembled pieces and altered books.
The motivation behind all of this is that it took me a long time to finally claim this creative and artistic part of myself, so I want nothing more than to encourage others to find their creative path too. Life is so full of wonder and amazement, if only we allow ourselves to both seek it out, and to make room for it to find us. Doing this with others? With that sense of connection and community? Essential!
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I have a serious case of wanderlust, having traveled and worked in many places around the world. I currently create from my studio in Sutter Creek, California and I’m always looking for another adventure.
